Valentine’s Day Movie

It’s possible that one of Jennifer Garner’s next movies might be Valentine’s Day. The plan for the Valentine’s Day movie seems to be to pack as many stars into a single movies as possible. New Line is bringing Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel and Emma Roberts to star in the movie about would-be romantics working their way through a tangle of circumstances in Los Angeles. The movie is expected to be released in 2010. This film will mark the re-uniting of Jennifer Garner and Ashton Kutcher (Dude, Where’s my Car?). Bradley Cooper (Will Tippin, Alias) and Jen will also be re-uniting, which is even more exciting!

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past Opening Weekend

Jennifer Garner in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past got off to a shaky start for its ratings but seems to be doing well in the box office. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is currently sitting at the 2nd spot in the box office for the weekend, according to Fandango. These are simply premilinary numbers, as the real numbers will be released tomorrow morning. It’s not surprise that it isn’t number one, since it was released at the same time as the newest X-Men installment, Wolverine. X-Men Origins is expected to bring in over $100M this weekend alone. When final numbers come out for the weekend, it’s likely that Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner will have raked in $20M for the weekend, beating the number 3 movie, Obsessed. Though Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is doing well in the box office, its ratings of “so-so” on Fandango and a 5.3 on IMDB won’t help it to sustain this level of success. IMDB ratings are typically high for new movies as people that have been anticipating the film for months inflate the rating. Over time, IMDB ratings tend to drop. On Rotten Tamoes, it is currently rated 31%, which is poor. X-Men Origins however, is only rate 37%, so Ghosts of Girlfriends Past isn’t too far behind.
Jennifer Garner and Christa B. Allen

Jennifer Garner & Christa B. Allen
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past featured Christa B. Allen as a young Jennifer Garner. She is the same actor used to portray young Jenna in 13 Going on 30. Christa looked remarkably like a young Jennifer Garner in 13 Going On 30 and it appears she does so again in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Above you can see a picture of Christa B Allen now, and a picture of Jennifer Garner taken approximately 5 years ago. I wonder if in a few years Violet Affleck will be playing a young Jennifer Garner in a movie? Who knows, we’ll just have to wait and find out.
